How the Exploit Works

The vulnerability exploits a weakness in the input validation of the fullname argument in the /don.php file. By manipulating this argument, an attacker can inject SQL commands into the system. This allows the attacker to view, modify, or delete data in the backend database. Since the exploit can be initiated remotely, it poses a significant threat to any system running the affected version of the software.

Conceptual Example Code

Here is a conceptual example of how this vulnerability might be exploited using an HTTP request:

POST /don.php HTTP/1.1

Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
fullname=' OR '1'='1'; --

In this example, the SQL command ‘ OR ‘1’=’1′; — is injected via the fullname parameter. This command will always evaluate as true, allowing the attacker to bypass any security measures in place.
