How the Exploit Works

An attacker who has successfully authenticated on the IBM Integrated Analytics System could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a file of a dangerous type. In this example, the attacker sends a POST request to the /upload endpoint of the IBM Integrated Analytics System server, embedding malicious code within a .docx file. If this file is subsequently opened by another user, the embedded code could be executed, leading to potential system compromise or data leakage.

Mitigation Guidance
