Command <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-48208-ldap-injection-vulnerability-in-apache-hertzbeat\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"89350\">injection vulnerabilities<\/a> occur when an application passes unsafe data, in this case through the agentName parameter, to a system shell. This could allow a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-41714-critical-vulnerability-in-upload-endpoint-causing-arbitrary-file-write-and-potential-remote-code-execution\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"89507\">remote attacker to execute arbitrary<\/a> commands directly on the system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conceptual Example Code:<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"ameeb-601621725\" class=\"ameeb-content ameeb-entity-placement\"><div class=\"poptin-embedded\" data-id=\"f6b387694f681\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a hypothetical example of how an attacker might exploit this vulnerability:<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">POST \/setEasyMeshAgentCfg HTTP\/1.1\nHost: target.totolink.com\nContent-Type: application\/json\n{ &quot;agentName&quot;: &quot;; rm -rf \/;&quot; }<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this example, `&#8221;; rm -rf \/;&#8221;` is the malicious payload. The semicolon (;) at the beginning of the payload is used to terminate the previous command, and what follows is the malicious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-59458-jetbrains-junie-code-execution-vulnerability-through-improper-command-validation\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"89580\">command to be executed<\/a>, in this case, `rm -rf \/`, a destructive command that deletes all files in the system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended Mitigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until a vendor patch is available, one possible mitigation measure is to use a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS). However, these are only temporary solutions and may not entirely prevent the exploitation of this vulnerability.
