This could <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-48539-critical-out-of-bounds-read-in-acl-arbiter-cc-leading-to-potential-system-compromise\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"87346\">lead to potential system<\/a> compromise or data leakage, provided the user interacts with the malicious page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conceptual Example Code<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"ameeb-2332359790\" class=\"ameeb-content ameeb-entity-placement\"><div class=\"poptin-embedded\" data-id=\"f6b387694f681\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a rough idea of how the malicious HTML page might look:<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">&lt;!DOCTYPE html&gt;\n&lt;html&gt;\n&lt;head&gt;\n&lt;title&gt;Vulnerable Page&lt;\/title&gt;\n&lt;\/head&gt;\n&lt;body&gt;\n&lt;script&gt;\nvar array = new Array(0xFFFFFFFFF);\narray[0] = &#039;a&#039;;\narray[2] = &#039;b&#039;;\narray[array.length * 2] = &#039;c&#039;; \/\/ triggers the integer overflow\n&lt;\/script&gt;\n&lt;\/body&gt;\n&lt;\/html&gt;<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this hypothetical example, the attacker uses JavaScript to create an array that&#8217;s too large to be represented, causing an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-43556-integer-overflow-vulnerability-in-animate-allowing-arbitrary-code-execution\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"91571\">integer overflow<\/a> in the V8 engine. This could potentially corrupt the heap, depending on how the memory is managed, and allow the attacker to execute <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-47129-out-of-bounds-write-vulnerability-in-adobe-framemaker-with-potential-for-arbitrary-code-execution\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"86893\">arbitrary code<\/a> or cause a DoS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To mitigate the vulnerability, users are advised to update <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-6554-high-risk-type-confusion-vulnerability-in-google-chrome-s-v8-engine\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"92318\">Google Chrome<\/a> to the latest version.
