The attacker sends a specially crafted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-8592-wordpress-inspiro-theme-vulnerability-to-cross-site-request-forgery-csrf\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"85415\">request to the vulnerable<\/a> endpoint:<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">POST \/svc_nas\/utility HTTP\/1.1\nHost: target.example.com\nContent-Type: application\/json\n{ &quot;command&quot;: &quot;; rm -rf \/ ;&quot; }<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this example, after the semicolon (;), the attacker has inserted a malicious command (`rm -rf \/`) which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-9048-arbitrary-file-deletion-vulnerability-in-wptobe-memberships-plugin-in-wordpress\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"85215\">deletes all files<\/a> in the system. This command is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-22409-code-execution-vulnerability-in-rfc-send-buf-uih-could-lead-to-local-privilege-escalation\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"85465\">executed with root privileges<\/a>, causing disastrous consequences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation and Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dell has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-35115-critical-system-package-download-vulnerability-in-agiloft-release-28\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"85284\">released a patch to address this vulnerability<\/a> and it is recommended for all users of Dell Unity version 5.5 and prior to apply this patch immediately.<br \/>\nFor temporary mitigation, a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) can be used to block or alert on suspicious activities. These systems can be configured to detect patterns of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2024-46484-critical-os-command-injection-vulnerability-in-trendnet-tv-ip410-va1-0r\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"85494\">command injection<\/a> attacks and take appropriate actions.
