An attacker who has local access and is authenticated can exploit this vulnerability to escalate their privileges. Once the attacker gains elevated access, they can wreak havoc by compromising the system or leaking sensitive data.
The escalation of privilege occurs when the system allows the attacker to execute commands or access resources that are typically beyond their permission level.
