Specifically, the daemon fails to validate the lower bound of a file descriptor index, which it receives as part of a request to create a loop device. This negligence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-24325-improper-input-validation-in-intel-r-800-series-ethernet-driver-allows-potential-escalation-of-privilege\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"80460\">allows an attacker to input<\/a> a negative index value, which can cause the daemon to crash.
