The manipulation of the argument apcli_AuthMode_2G\/apcli_AuthMode_5G can trigger a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-8184-critical-stack-based-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-d-link-dir-513\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"71758\">stack-based buffer overflow<\/a>. This long string of &#8220;A&#8221;s is designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-7463-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-tenda-fh1201-1-2-0-14\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"71819\">overflow the buffer<\/a> and potentially execute arbitrary code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Users of the affected Linksys models are advised to apply the vendor patch as soon as it becomes available. In the interim, using a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) can help mitigate the risk.
