The attacker sends a malicious HTTP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-36845-server-side-request-forgery-ssrf-vulnerability-in-eveo-urve-web-manager\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"70678\">request to the vulnerable<\/a> endpoint with an excessively long &#8216;timeZone&#8217; argument.<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">POST \/goform\/SetSysTimeCfg HTTP\/1.1\nHost: target-device-ip\nContent-Type: application\/x-www-form-urlencoded\ntimeZone=AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In the above example, the &#8216;timeZone&#8217; argument is filled with an excessively long string of &#8216;A&#8217; characters, which is used to illustrate the concept of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-8243-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-totolink-x15-http-post-request-handler\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"66787\">overflowing the buffer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation Guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Users of affected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-9087-stack-based-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-tenda-ac20-16-03-08-12\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"77811\">Tenda AC20<\/a> devices are advised to apply the vendor patch as soon as possible.
