An attacker can inject malicious code into the server’s operation, which is then executed within the system’s environment. This execution can lead to unauthorized access or control over the system, potentially compromising any data held within or even causing disruption to the system’s intended functions.

Conceptual Example Code

The following is a conceptual example to illustrate how an attacker might exploit this vulnerability. In cases where immediate patching is not feasible, using a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) may serve as temporary mitigation measures.
