The endpoint takes an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-53652-jenkins-git-parameter-plugin-unvalidated-input-vulnerability\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"68613\">input parameter<\/a> which is passed directly into the shell_exec() function of PHP. This allows an attacker to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-54416-arbitrary-command-execution-vulnerability-in-tj-actions-branch-names-github-action\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"69555\">execute arbitrary OS commands<\/a> on the server running the Eveo URVE Web Manager. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-49416-critical-php-remote-file-inclusion-vulnerability-in-fastw3b-llc-fw-gallery\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"66098\">vulnerability can be exploited remotely<\/a> by unauthenticated users, making it particularly dangerous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conceptual Example Code<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"ameeb-1069278395\" class=\"ameeb-content ameeb-entity-placement\"><div class=\"poptin-embedded\" data-id=\"f6b387694f681\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n<p>An attacker could potentially exploit this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-8243-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-totolink-x15-http-post-request-handler\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"66844\">vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request<\/a> that includes malicious shell commands. Here is a conceptual example:<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">POST \/_internal\/pc\/vpro.php HTTP\/1.1\nHost: target.example.com\nContent-Type: application\/x-www-form-urlencoded\ninput_param=;rm+-rf+\/; # This is an example of a malicious payload<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this example, the &#8220;input_param&#8221; is the parameter that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-9712-critical-remote-code-execution-vulnerability-in-ivanti-endpoint-manager\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"89105\">vulnerable endpoint<\/a> uses. The value `;rm -rf \/;` is a malicious payload that, if executed, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-7778-arbitrary-file-deletion-vulnerability-in-icons-factory-plugin-for-wordpress\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"79659\">delete all files<\/a> on the server.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is highly recommended for all organizations using the Eveo URVE Web <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-41687-stack-based-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-u-link-management-api\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"68313\">Manager to apply the vendor patch to mitigate this vulnerability<\/a>. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, using a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) can provide temporary mitigation.
