Specifically, a path-traversal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-48581-critical-security-flaw-allowing-local-privilege-escalation-in-mainline-installations\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"87111\">flaw allows<\/a> the server to execute attacker-supplied EJS templates outside of the permitted directories. An attacker can upload a malicious template, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-46093-critical-vulnerability-in-liquidfiles-allowing-root-access-via-ftp-site-chmod\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"74506\">via FTP<\/a>, to the server. Consider using PASV.\n150 Ok to send data.\n226 Transfer complete.\nftp&gt; bye\n221 Goodbye.<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this example, an attacker anonymously logs into the FTP server of the target device and uploads a malicious EJS template (`malicious.ejs`) to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2024-31854-critical-tls-server-certificate-validation-vulnerability-in-sicam-toolbox-ii\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"70033\">vulnerable directory on the server<\/a>.
