The `&#8211;` at the end is a comment marker that comments out the rest of the original SQL query, if any.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until a patch is released by the vendor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-20217-denial-of-service-vulnerability-in-snort-3-detection-engine-of-cisco-secure-firewall-threat-defense-software\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"76934\">firewall rules or intrusion detection<\/a> systems (IDS) can be used as a temporary mitigation strategy. These security controls can monitor and block suspicious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-7097-critical-command-injection-vulnerability-in-comodo-internet-security-premium\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"68248\">SQL<\/a> queries to prevent SQL Injection attacks.<br \/>\nLong-term, it is recommended that organizations apply the vendor&#8217;s patch as soon as it becomes available.
