When a specially crafted packet is sent to the RRAS server, it triggers a heap-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-8168-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-d-link-dir-513-1-10\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"67125\">buffer overflow<\/a>. In the meantime, the use of Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) or Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) can serve as temporary mitigation, helping to detect and block <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2024-7457-macos-authorization-model-exploit-leading-to-potential-mitm-attacks\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"80078\">potential exploit<\/a> attempts.
