Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the curTime argument which can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. This overflow can overwrite other data structures, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution, system compromise, or data leakage. If a patch is not available, using a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) can serve as temporary mitigation. These systems can detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability, providing a layer of protection for the affected systems. However, these are only temporary measures and cannot fully eliminate the risk. Long-term mitigation strategies should include replacing or upgrading unsupported products to versions that are not vulnerable to this exploit.

Overview The cybersecurity landscape is riddled with potential threats and vulnerabilities, one of which is CVE-2025-6370.
