The exploit takes advantage of the COROS application’s failure to initiate and enforce Bluetooth pairing and bonding. Consequently, data transmitted via BLE remains unencrypted. If a user manually initiates pairing and bonding through Android settings, the application continues to transmit data without requiring the watch to be bonded.
