In essence, this means that the software continues to use a pointer after it has been freed. This can lead to two types of vulnerabilities: the software could potentially read old data or it might write data into the wrong location. In this particular exploit, a remote attacker can craft an HTML page that triggers this vulnerability, leading to heap corruption. The attacker can then use this corruption to execute arbitrary code, potentially leading to system compromise or data leakage.

Conceptual Example Code

A conceptual example of how this vulnerability might be exploited could be a malicious HTML page that triggers the use-after-free condition.
