An attacker can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-53964-critical-file-manipulation-vulnerability-in-goldendict\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"67180\">manipulate variables that reference files<\/a> with &#8216;..&#8217; sequences and its variations. This allows an attacker to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-28384-critical-directory-traversal-vulnerability-in-openc3-cosmos-6-0-0\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"61574\">traverse<\/a> the file system to access files or directories that are outside of the restricted directory.
