If the ‘Remote Link3 function’ is enabled, this flaw can be exploited by a remote unauthenticated attacker by sending specially crafted inputs to the affected system. This results in the attacker being able to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the system, potentially leading to full system compromise or data leakage.

Conceptual Example Code

Here’s a conceptual example of how this vulnerability might be exploited. This is a sample HTTP request that sends a malicious payload to the vulnerable endpoint:

POST /RemoteLink3/endpoint HTTP/1.1
Host: target.example.com
Content-Type: application/json
{ "os_command": "rm -rf /" }

In this example, the attacker sends a command `rm -rf /`, a harmful command that can potentially delete all files in the system.
It should be noted that this is a conceptual example and actual exploitation might involve different methods or additional steps.

Mitigation Guidance

Affected users are strongly advised to apply the vendor-provided patch as soon as it is available.
