This vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda RX3 V1.0br_V16.03.13.11, a popular router used by both individuals and businesses. It is a stack overflow vulnerability, which can be extremely dangerous as they can lead to arbitrary code execution or even a complete system compromise. The vulnerability lies within the fromSetWifiGusetBasic function of the web url /goform/ WifiGuestSet and manipulating the parameter shareSpeed results in a stack overflow.

Vulnerability Summary

CVE ID: CVE-2025-44899
Severity: Critical (9.8 CVSS Severity Score)
Attack Vector: Network
Privileges Required: Low
User Interaction: None
Impact: Potential system compromise or data leakage

Affected Products

    A new way to communicate

Ameeba Chat is built on encrypted identity, not personal profiles.

Message, call, share files, and coordinate with identities kept separate.

• Encrypted identity

• Ameeba Chat authenticates access

• Aliases and categories

• End-to-end encrypted chat, calls, and files

• Secure notes for sensitive information

    Private communication, rethought.

    Download Ameeba Chat
    Learn More

Product | Affected Versions

Tenda | RX3 V1.0br_V16.03.13.11

How the Exploit Works

The exploit works by manipulating the shareSpeed parameter in the fromSetWifiGusetBasic function of the web url /goform/ WifiGuestSet. This overflow can lead to unpredictable behavior, such as executing arbitrary code, crashing the system, or causing a system compromise.

Conceptual Example Code

Please note that the following is a conceptual example of how the vulnerability might be exploited.
