The function reads the client-supplied $_POST[&#8216;user_role&#8217;] and passes it directly to wp_insert_user() without any restrictions to a safe set of roles. This improper authorization allows an attacker to manipulate the user role value to elevate their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-46273-critical-vulnerability-in-uni-nms-lite-can-grant-administrative-privileges-to-unauthenticated-attacker\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"41508\">privileges from an unauthenticated user to an administrator<\/a>. If successful, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2021-47663-unauthenticated-remote-attacker-gaining-full-access-due-to-improper-json-web-tokens-implementation\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"41635\">attacker would have full<\/a> control over the WordPress site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation Guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-3054-arbitrary-file-upload-vulnerability-in-wp-user-frontend-pro-plugin-for-wordpress\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"59226\">Users of the affected plugin<\/a> are advised to apply the vendor patch as soon as possible.
