This manipulation causes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-3993-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-totolink-n150rt\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"40465\">buffer overflow<\/a>, which is a condition where an operation writes data beyond the boundaries of fixed-length buffers. These buffers are regions of physical memory storage used to temporarily store <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/ai-data-security-guidance-a-crucial-move-by-agencies-in-cybersecurity\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"52378\">data while it is being moved<\/a>. The &#8220;host&#8221; field in the JSON body is filled with a string of 5000 &#8216;A&#8217; characters. The long string is designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2025-3785-critical-buffer-overflow-vulnerability-in-d-link-dwr-m961\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"41006\">overflow the buffer<\/a>, causing unexpected behavior in the system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigation Guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until the vendor releases a patch, it is recommended to use a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) as temporary mitigation. These systems can help detect and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2023-35989-integer-overflow-vulnerability-in-gtkwave-s-lxt2-zlib-block-allocation\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"41943\">block malicious traffic aimed at exploiting this vulnerability<\/a>.
