An attacker can send specially crafted network packets to the BMC, causing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2023-33108-critical-memory-corruption-vulnerability-in-graphics-driver\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"31321\">memory corruption<\/a> and thereby gaining the ability to execute arbitrary code or cause a Denial of Service (DoS). The body of the request contains a malicious payload designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2023-43514-memory-corruption-vulnerability-leading-to-potential-system-compromise\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"31559\">corrupt the heap memory<\/a>, potentially giving the attacker control over the system or access to sensitive data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitigations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Users of affected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/unmasking-the-latest-google-user-scams-a-deep-dive-into-cybersecurity-threats-and-mitigation\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"43185\">AMI\u2019s<\/a> SPx versions are advised to apply the latest vendor patches promptly. If not feasible immediately, a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS) can be used as a temporary mitigation measure to detect and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ameeba.com\/blog\/cve-2023-38657-out-of-bounds-write-vulnerability-in-gtkwave-lxt2-zlib-block-decompression\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"43182\">block attempts to exploit this vulnerability<\/a>.
