The information below is intended to inform users and people registering with Ameeba about what information we collect, as well as how that information is used. This policy may be updated from time to time, so users are advised to check back often to stay informed.
The information you provide to us through the registration form is used for internal purposes only. We will never sell or provide your information to third parties. However, if Ameeba is acquired, your information will be transferred to the new owner. If this happens, users will be informed of the change of ownership prior to the transfer.
We also record your IP address. We use this if a user is spamming or repeatedly abusing the service, and we must ban the user's IP address to prevent future problems.
Currently, the only cookies we use are to store login information if the user chooses. This cookie allows users to automatically log in, and can be used by selecting the "Remember me" checkbox when logging in. This cookie will remain active for a year, or until the user logs out of Ameeba by clicking the "Log out" link at the top left corner of all pages on Ameeba.
We will never sell or provide your information to third parties. The only cases where we will share user information is in complying with law enforcement or if ownership of Ameeba is transferred to another business or individual. As stated above, users will be notified in advance of a transfer of ownership.
We do not allow children under 13 years of age to register with our service. Any child under 13 years of age who registers with Ameeba is in violation of our terms of use. For people under the age of 18, we suggest you obtain permission from your parents before using our service.
This policy is current as of December 30, 2008. Users will be notified of any material changes to this policy.
